Effects ot mulch and ridge plant on dayland millet field at fallow stage

The experimental results show that dryland millet with mulch at the fallow stage can make the spring rainfall used in Autumn．With the method，the moisture content of soil is effectively increased，the rate of seedling emergence of millet raised，the metabolism improved,and the yield increased by 28．2%．The millet physiological changes are discussed，which provided scientific basis for the millet cultivation in dryland．
