Agro-ecological importance and research progresses of rape seed glucosinolates

The essential composition, main physinlogical function of glucosinolate and its adverse effects used as stock food wlth excessive content in oilseed rape(B．napus)，and some ecological problems caused by breeding are discussed．Major factors affecting glucosinolate levels，self-protection to diseases or pests，agro-ecological significance and developmental potentials of g1ucosinolate in cruciferous are also put forward．
