Abstract: The inhibiting factors，potential advantage and bright future of developing eco-agriculture of mixed planting with animal husbandry based on rainwater-harvesting technology in semiarid area are stated from the views of ecology and economy，and the artificial grassland planting using rainwater-harvesting technology and grass-grain crop rotation are advanced as two important technological supports for the development of eco-agriculture.
