Abstract: Field experiment on the growth development and yield formation of the high quality maize shows that the numbers of the whole growing days of the high quality maize variety‘zhongdan 9409’and ‘gaoyou 115’are similar to those of the local variety ‘jifeng 58’,but significantly less than ‘laiyu 2’.There are no significant differences in the accumulated dry weight between the high quality maize and local maize variety,but the economic production of the variety ‘zhongdan 9409’is higher than that of ‘jifeng 58’. The lysine content of the high quality maize is significant higher than that of local maize variety.
